"We do not learn from experience...we learn from reflecting on experience."
John Dewey, How We Think from the book Reading in the Wild The Book Whisperer's Key to Cultivating Lifelong Reading Habits by Donalyn Miller with Susan Kelley
I just started this unputdownable book and found it so gripping I could read it from cover to cover in one setting. Feeling so blessed that I am able to reflect on this experience with a group of new friends and "old" friends who share the passion for teaching reading. I can hardly wait to discuss Donalyn's insights at our next book club meeting. I'm on chapter three. I need to be alert early tomorrow morning for tasks that require my upmost attention. Do I continue reading to the wee hours of the morning or call it a day? Please share your thoughts with us if you have read this remarkable book.
